Sidewalks Saving Lives

Sidewalks Saving Lives is a public art project conceptualized by Kwanzaa Church of North Minneapolis was the winner of the Great Ideas Exchange Project.  I participated in this project in 2008 and 2010.

Ten teams of lead artists and students painted 10 different sidewalks in designated areas in North Minneapolis. Each sidewalk was painted with exterior latex paint with the surface area around 150 square feet.

The theme of each sidewalk dealt with HIV/AIDS awareness using the ABC method. A –Be Abstinent, B –Be Tested, Be Faithful, and C –Use Condoms effectively and consistently.
